Wow im talking about the knicks and i dont want to shove a flaming harpoon up my ass to make it hurt less. Wow
I want to start a little discussion regarding our Tight rotation.
Jamal 40 min/game
Zach 38 min/game
Steph 36 min/game
Lee 34 min/game
Eddy 32 min/game
Balkman 28 min/game
Nasty Nate 17 min/game
Q 15 min/game
Rule #1: if for some reason Jeffries or James start practicing again they are immediately to receive some Tonya treatment and be Kerriganed in the knees. Addition by subtraction, do not insult my eyes by putting them on a basketball court.
Rule #2: There is no such thing as too many minutes for Balkman and Lee. I repeat there is no such thing as too many minutes for Balkman and Lee.
Rule #3: When Nate comes in you let him wild out and do what he does, however, he when he gets out of control he gets one strike and then on the second he comes back to bench--> recoil him to be sprung again.
Rule #4: Steph is not allowed to dribble laterally. He is to take directly to rim at every opportunity, especially in transition.
to be continued...

Found my collection of old basketball cards yesterday, thought I would share some shots from the most honerable knicks teams of the 90s.
Gotta pay respect to the man in the middle....
We miss you big man.
This is Petra, and she's really fly.
Supposedly this is the dancer Isiah / MSG paid to flirt with Referees. Who knows if this is true (it came out after this whole harassment case, and right now any money hungry female garden employee is planning a case against MSG...but i wouldn't doubt it.). Good job Isiah.
Stephon Marbury recently opened up a custom car company, called Star-Motoring, featuring a Phantolade. Actually looks kinda dope.
This guy is supposed to lead the Knicks to a NBA title?

Rabbi Ron-- First of all, I'd like to extend you my warmest, and I believe I can do so on behalf of the other Lovers as well. It's fantastic to have you here. That was quite the inciteful post, whether you realized it or not. You will certainly be hearing derisive replies from the voiciferous Nate haters, as well as those with their reservations about Balkman and Lee, and those who haven't yet sold their Jeffries stock. This is a Knickerbocracy though, and we encourage everyone to share their thoughts.
I'll start. I'm certainly not on the Jeffries bandwagon, but perhaps a passenger on the JJ2 dollar van. I think he got dealt a tough hand last year and thrust into a very tumultous and volatile situation. He sustained a serious injury in the Knicks presason game against the Nets (and decided to follow suit this year as well), came back to a team in turmoil and immediately got suspended. When he came back from his injury, and finally looked like we had found a comfortable spot for him in the rotation, injuries hit the Knicks like the goddam black plague and men were dropping like flies. More specifically, our offensive weapons began dropping like flies (steph, jamal, Q, even the disgraceful and embattled Stevie Knicks). He was then forced to play more minutes than he had all season and with our scorers out and him on the floor with Never Tardy Mardy, Ro Show, Malik Rose etc., producing some of the least offensively-abled units ever to grace the hardwood. Point being, his offensive abilities were highlighted and thrown into every Bocker fans face on a nightly basis. Not to mention it was his first season as a performer in the goddam Big Apple Circus that is MSG.
I've just got to throw this out there--wouldn't it have been nice to stick a 6'1'' defensive minded body opening night against Cleveland, when Osama bin Balkman picked up 3 fouls in 44 seconds and Q was playing like a senior citizen? Wouldn't it be nice to have a JJ2 to stick on the 6'10" jump shooting Rashard Lewis tonight? When the Knicks host Dallas and Q is chasing Josh Howard all over the court, if Balkman picks up early fouls, who guards Dirk.
Now take this all with a grain of salt. JJ2 has had his woes in his short lived Knicks career and has been highly unimpressive in nearly every showing, but like I said earlier, I'm not selling my stock just yet. A 6'11''rebounding (okay, you can get on me for that), defensive oriented player who can guard positions 2-5 could really be a luxury. Although keeping a tight rotation (which has me soiling my pants with excitement) and a productive Q will certainly render him expendable. I think he going to make some contributions this season and Knick fans will be pleasantly surprised.
(warmest welcome) sorry about that.
and i meant when he came back from his suspension (not his injury, sloppy post my apologies)
Also, really love rule #4. Steph is wildly productive and efficient taking it to the hoop. He's stronger than most guards covering him, is showing that he hasn't lost a step, and the ease with which he get to the hoop ismindboggling. Oddly, he seems to have a habit of missing layups when he gets to the hoop, but I don't even mind that, it will come around. Steph driving also spreads the floor and forces opposing bigs to cheat off of z-bo and e-city. love it, i was actually going to throw up a post about this. well played, Yehuda.
I'm feeling the tighter rotation, but i got a feeling it's about to blow up a bit. with this steph news and some injury woes mardy and malik are gonna get some burn and who knows who else. once Jared Jeffries returns he'll get some minutes, but at least we know that Jerome will never play again (he's going under the knife!!!!!)
